About the President

The president of Pharbest Pharmaceuticals, Mr. Munir M Islam, a native of Bangladesh, founded the first of several successful  enterprises there in 1983. The Bikalpa Friends Pharmaceutical Corp. went into production in 1986 through the endeavors and  dedication of Mr. Islam and a select circle of like-minded individuals.

In 1989, Mr. Islam began the fulfillment of his vision of becoming a contributing member of the world society when he immigrated to  America. He continued his education and became a registered pharmacist (Rph). In 2000 he furthered his vision by founding a retail  pharmacy in a middle-income neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. In accord with his belief that the measure of success is directly  proportional to the care and service given to the customer, his pharmacy grew as awareness of his empathy spread by word of  mouth.

Encouraged, not only by the growth of the pharmacy, but also by the reputation he had earned as a contributor to the neighborhood , he broadened his vision to bring quality medical care to his neighborhood by opening a new medical center adjacent to the pharmacy  in 2005. Established and respected in the neighborhood, in addition to supplying quality medicines and medical care, he also  contributed to the neighborhood economy with the creation of dozens of jobs.

Emboldened by all that was accomplished, he directed his energies towards a new endeavor. He decided to manufacture quality  pharmaceuticals using only the finest ingredients and make them available to the American public, and other international consumers at affordable prices.

Realizing that an essential part of success is surrounding yourself with dedicated and hard working people, he put together a small  group of dedicated individuals, headed by his trusted associate Tom Summers.

Committed to bringing his newest vision to fruition, on August 18, 2004 he put his plans into action. The Pharbest Pharmaceuticals  Corporation was formed. A site was located for the new corporation, architectural drawings were submitted for approval, permits  were applied for and obtained. Finally the "go ahead" was given. Construction was begun on September 8, 2005 at 14 Engineers  Lane in Farmingdale, L.I., New York on a 20,539 sq. foot pharmaceutical manufacturing plant.

On September 28, 2005 we received our FDA registration as a drug manufacturing facility.

Today we stand at the threshold of a new adventure as we anticipate the marketing of a proud new brand name in pharmaceutical  products.
